Striker wants to grasp chance to play under Rodgers

Jermaine Easter is determined to secure a permanent contract at Swansea City following his loan move from MK Dons. The striker linked up with Swansea last week and he is due to stay at the Liberty Stadium until the end of January. He missed Friday's defeat by Portsmouth due to injury, but is hoping to be in contention to make his Swans debut at Ipswich Town this weekend. Easter had been eager for the opportunity to work with Swans boss Brendan Rodgers and is anxious to make the most of his chance in the Championship.

Massive opportunity

"I hope to be fit for Ipswich. I'm going to get on with some rehab and that will hopefully put me in the frame for selection," said Easter in the Evening Post. "I'm here to make it permanent. I've been badgering my agent to speak to Brendan for a while now. "It's a massive opportunity for me. When I was at my most prolific last season at MK Dons it was a very similar system. "The lads play some great stuff and hopefully I will be finishing off the good opportunities they create."
