David Luiz has stressed he has no plans to quit Benfica after the defender was again linked with a big-money move to the Premier League.
The centre-half's impressive form for Benfica has prompted interest from across Europe, with Chelsea and Manchester City both rumoured to want the Brazilian.
The 23-year-old is under contract until 2015 and is ignoring speculation that he could leave the Portuguese giants in January.
Luiz insists money is not a motivating factor in his career and he has no intention of forcing a move to the Premier League.
"If it was only a question of money, I would not be at Benfica as I am now," Luiz told the Portuguese press.
"I have decided to stay and I did not want to leave at the end of last season. I am happy at Benfica and I remember that my deal finishes in June 2015.
"My future is in the hands of God. Now, I would ignore the chance to leave in January, next summer or in 2015.
"I am a professional and my mission is to work every day to increase my standing in football. The rumours from England? It does not depend on me."
