Peter Odemwingie was pleased after he notched a brace in the 3-1 victory over Newcastle to make it two league wins on the bounce for West Brom.
Somen Tchoyi put the Baggies ahead on 32 minutes and Odemwingie made sure of the points (71, 89) before Peter Lovenkrands scored an injury-time consolation for the Magpies.
The victory came after the Baggies beat Everton 4-1 last time in the league to put last month's poor run of form - when Roberto Di Matteo's side went winless for five games - behind them.
Odemwingie told Sky Sports: "We had a series of bad games but the last two games we have got six points, we are very happy.
"I think that is a very good response from our team after us losing, especially at home in a derby (to Stoke)."
The Nigeria international was also content to get back on the scoresheet for the first time since returning from injury.
"There was instruction from the coaches to stay high with the defenders, because I was all over the place in the first half," he added.
"So I tried to do that, stay there and it actually paid me so it's good sometimes to listen."
