Cardiff striker Jay Bothroyd's hamstring injury will only keep him out for one game, scans have revealed.
The England striker went off against Preston last weekend with the complaint and was sent for a scan to assess the injury.
From the results, the club's medical team have calculated he will need 10-14 days to recover.
That means the Bluebirds' top scorer would miss the clash with Middlesbrough this weekend.
But he could return against Burnley on 18th December, which will give his team-mates a lift as they embark on the busy Christmas schedule.
