Scunthorpe midfielder Michael O'Connor has ruled out any potential move to the Premier League but would be interested in a move north of the border.
The highly-rated Northern Ireland international claims the idea of making a jump into the top flight from the Championship in January could prove to be a 'risky' move.
O'Connor has been in superb form this season, bagging six goals in a struggling side which are hovering just above the drop zone.
The 23-year-old, who has reportedly drawn interest from the likes of West Ham and Newcastle claims the only club he would leave Glanford Park for would be his boyhood heroes Celtic.
The player told SkySports.com: "I still have a year and a half left on my current deal, so as far as I'm concerned, I will be here until then at least.
"A January move to the Premier League would come way too soon for me because I am only just finding my feet in the Championship this season.
"It is always nice to hear of interest from big clubs, but I don't think I would want to leave if any club did come in for me in January unless it was Celtic.
"I'm a big fan of them and I think that would be the only club which could tempt me away in January.
"Scunthorpe is a great club and has a fine tradition of helping players develop their game such as Gary Hooper, who joined Celtic in the summer for a lot of money.
"I'm on my way to reaching double figures this season, so I just need to continue doing what I am doing and see what happens."
