On-loan Bristol City striker Sam Vokes is closing in on a return to action after four months on the sidelines.
The Welsh international, on loan from top-flight Wolves, tore his hamstring on his Robins debut in August, but returned to full training for the first time this week.
He is currently due to stay at Ashton Gate until the New Year and City boss Keith Millen is keeping an open mind regarding an extension in January.
Vokes is desperate to get as much playing time as possible before then, but accepts the weather is playing havoc at present.
He told skysports.com: "It has been frustrating, but I've had a week of full training with the rest of the boys and now it is just a case of getting some reserve games under my belt as soon as possible.
"Out of a week's training we have only managed three full sessions because of the weather, so it is a bit of nightmare to get training done and build up my match fitness.
"The hamstring is 100 per cent now though, so it is just a case of getting back up to speed in terms of match sharpness.
"There was a reserve game scheduled this week, which I probably would have played in, but it was called off due to the weather, so it is all about how quickly I can get an outing in the reserves done before being available for first-team selection.
"I'd say that in a week or so I will be ready for a recall."
