Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes believes Harry Redknapp's troops need to tighten up at the back if they are to challenge for the title.
While the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City have kept numerous clean sheets, Spurs have just one to their name.
Redknapp's charges have not kept out the opposition in Premier League play since their goalless draw with City on the opening day of the season.
Spurs failed to deny Chelsea in Sunday's meeting after Gomes spilled Didier Drogba's fierce left-footed drive.
However, the Brazilian shot-stopper atoned for his blunder by saving Drogba's injury-time penalty to preserve a point for the home side.
The former PSV keeper believes Spurs are changing their style of play and that soon they will begin to keep things tight at the back.
"Teams like Man United or Chelsea, they keep a lot of clean sheets," explained Gomes.
"We just changed the way we play now. We need time to adapt.
"Sometimes, we need to be more compact, defending, to keep more clean sheets.
"We concede goals because we attack as well. This season, we have a player like Luka Modric playing in midfield.
"I think we are still up there; we can keep going and can finish up there."
