Leicester manager Sven Goran Eriksson wants his three on-loan defenders to extend their stay at the Walkers Stadium.
City have been in talks with Tottenham about extending Kyle Naughton's loan until the end of the season after impressing the former England boss.
And there have been reports the Foxes may attempt to purchase the 22-year-old full-back on a permanent basis in a £1.5 million deal come January.
Naughton has been a massive hit with the Blue Army since arriving from North London in October and the Swede is hopeful of tying down the youngster.
Eriksson also hopes to extend the loan deals of Manchester City's Greg Cunningham and Aston Villa's Curtis Davies.
He told Sky Sports News: "We hope that we can keep him (Naughton) for the rest of the season.
"We hope with Cunningham as well - the left-back. I mean those two loan deals which we have done are very, very good for the club.
"And even Curtis Davies - the same. Three extremely good defenders and they've all played very well in every game which they've played so far."
City were bottom of the Championship table when Eriksson took over at the beginning of October and following steady progress, the club have climbed up to 13th position having won five of their last eight games.
And Eriksson has been pleased with the atmosphere around the club as they approach a busy Christmas schedule.
"It's a very good atmosphere," he added.
"We have good people working at the club. The players are working very hard, so the atmosphere is fine.
"If we can start to win some more away games, it could be even better and we have a good opportunity (against Ipswich) on Saturday."
Eriksson also confirmed on-loan Wigan goalkeeper Chris Kirkland could make his debut at Portman Road, after recovering from a back injury.
