Marcus Tudgay hopes his move to Nottingham Forest will allow him to fulfil his ambition of reaching the Premier League.
The 27-year-old striker has joined the Reds from Sheffield Wednesday on a loan deal which will be made permanent once the transfer window reopens in January.
He feels he has linked up with a side destined for bigger and better things, with Forest having come close to making the step up into the top flight last term.
They remain on course to mount another promotion push this season and Tudgay is keen to ensure that he plays a leading role in helping Billy Davies' men back into the big time.
"I want promotion to the Premier League on my CV and that's what I hope to achieve with Forest," he said after notching on his debut against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
"Clubs have come in for me over the last season-and-a-half but it never quite happened.
"Owen Coyle wanted to take me to Burnley when they went up and then Blackpool put forward a deal earlier this season but that wasn't right for either Wednesday or myself.
"I was disappointed but I'm not one to sulk. Now I'm at Forest and hopefully we can go all the way."
