Marc Albrighton is enjoying a productive campaign but hopes Aston Villa can start picking up points.
The 2010/11 season has been a difficult one for the Midlands outfit, with the departure of Martin O'Neill back in August having set the tone.
Gerard Houllier has taken the reins at Villa Park but is yet to have the desired effect on results.
Just four points separate Villa from the drop zone heading into Christmas, with it important that improvement is made over the second half of the season.
The club can, however, take heart from the progress made by their young stars this term and 21-year-old winger Albrighton is one of those to have caught the eye.
"It's been enjoyable for me personally to get my chance and play well," he told
Sky Sports News.
"I have enjoyed every minute of every game I have played. Hopefully that will continue for the rest of this season and long may it continue for the rest of my career."
Spirit
Albrighton admits performances have been below par this season but insists everyone connected with Villa is confident the corner will be turned.
"We have picked up a couple of bad results, so it's not been great that way, but we have got character and we have got spirit and we will fight all the way to the end," he said.
"Hopefully we will be able to get a good place at the end of the season."
On the situation currently facing Villa, he added: "It's not so much pressure. The lads aren't used to being in this situation but we will bounce back from it and start winning games.
"We have had a lot of things go against us. We don't think we aren't playing well, but all we can do is work hard on training and hopefully it will start paying off in the games."
