Jordi Lopez has declared he will be leaving Swansea in January in search of regular first-team football.
The 29-year-old has made just one league start this term for the Swans and has seemingly failed to win over new manager Brendan Rodgers.
Lopez was given a two-year deal by previous boss Paulo Sousa, when he was recruited on a free transfer from QPR last summer.
Indeed, plans are already being formulated which should see the former Real Madrid and Sevilla midfielder leave the Liberty Stadium next month.
"I am only 29 and I can't be going along every week in training and not making the squad," he told the South Wales Evening Post.
"I have around three years at my best to play and I'm losing time here. When you're not playing it is difficult to be happy.
"I think it's going to be very difficult for me to get an opportunity now because the season has moved on a lot.
"I would like to move in January because I want to play - and I can't see that happening here.
"I'm speaking to my agent already. I've spoken to the chairman about my situation and I expect to move on."
