Robbie Fowler has indicated that he wants to stay with Perth Glory, according to the Australian club's chief executive.
The former Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester City striker is out of contract at the end of the season and he has been linked with a coaching role with English League One club MK Dons.
But ex-England international Fowler, who first moved Down Under to join North Queensland Fury in 2009 before moving on to Glory in the April of 2010, has hinted that he would like to stay in Australia.
That decision may rest with the 35-year-old's family as they are understood to be dividing their time between the United Kingdom and Perth.
But Glory chief executive Paul Kelly said: "Robbie's indicated he wants to stay.
"He's got a few personal things he's got to go through. He's got to speak to his wife and kids for a start. So let's see what happens there.
"Robbie's been a pleasure this year, he's been absolutely fantastic (and) we as a club no doubt would want Robbie to stay."
