DJ Campbell admits he is beginning to find some form following his match-winning brace against Sunderland.
The 29-year-old Blackpool striker netted twice at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday to ensure Ian Holloway's Tangerines go marching on in the Premier League.
Campbell made the switch to Bloomfield Road back in August for a fee of £1.25million from Leicester City and has scored five goals in 14 league appearances so far this term.
The former non-league frontman is beginning to find his rhythm at Blackpool and admits he is enjoying his role in the side.
"I should be scoring - that's my job," he told the
Blackpool Gazette.
"I am meant to hit the back of the net and help the team get points. I managed to do it on the day, so it is brilliant for myself personally, but obviously for the team even better.
"I was a bit relieved because I missed a couple of first-half chances I should have done better with, but I managed to put that right in the second half. Kicking towards the end our fans were at made it even better.
"I think the goals are finally starting to come now, which is obviously nice for me. I was doing a lot of things right but I just wasn't hitting the back of the net.
"But thankfully it is going all right at the moment, so fingers crossed it will continue."
Blackpool have had a fantastic season in the top-flight so far and have notched up 25 points from just 17 games.
Campbell added: "To get seven points out the last nine away is great - and it should be nine because we should have won at Bolton.
"We keep proving people wrong. The more they doubt us, the stronger we get as a team.
"The fans make us even stronger. The support at Sunderland were fantastic. For so many to come here between Christmas and New Year was magnificent, and if we keep doing what we are doing as a team we'll be fine."
