Patrice Evra says he gets the feeling Manchester United are on the brink of a goal every time Javier Hernandez steps on the pitch.
The young Mexican, nicknamed 'Chicharito', came off the bench at West Brom on Saturday to fire in a 75th-minute winner for United.
That goal marked Hernandez's fifth in the Premier League so far this season, despite having not started a game since November 13th.
And defender Evra has hailed the 22-year-old, insisting his presence brings an air of anticipation.
"Always when he comes on you feel like he will score," said Evra. "It is unbelievable."
Hernandez has found first-team action limited since his arrival at Old Trafford in the summer, with manager Sir Alex Ferguson favouring the more experienced Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov up front.
And Evra says the youngster is champing at the bit for more chances to show what he can do, adding: "I do think he wants to play more. When you play football you want to start every game."
Hernandez's strike sealed a 2-1 triumph for the Red Devils after Wayne Rooney nodded in the first, marking just his second league goal of the season.
And Evra was pleased to see the striker finally find the back of the net having not scored since his penalty against West Ham in August.
"I am very glad for Wayne," said Evra of the striker, who damaged his ankle late on in the game.
"He deserved to score because has been working so hard in training.
"He showed what character he has at the end when he came back on to the pitch.
"That was good for Manchester United and now I hope Wazza can score more goals."
