Samir Nasri insists Arsenal are genuine title contenders, regardless of their clash with Manchester City on Wednesday.
The Gunners host City at the Emirates in a match which, if they won, could see them go top of the league, although likewise Roberto Mancini's team could sit at the summit should they get something from their trip to North London.
Nasri, who has been in wonderful form this season, is adamant that Arsenal are title contenders - win, lose or draw on Wednesday.
But he admits the game with City is a 'very important' one, saying: "We are contenders without this game but yes, it will be a really important game because they are two points ahead of us.
"So we have to win to come back to second and it's really, really important to make the same game we did at Man City earlier this year."
Theo Walcott agrees that the City game is a big one, but it is a match they should be looking to win.
"Our target is to beat them especially with home support behind us," said Walcott. "We played well against Chelsea.
"Now we have a couple of days to relax. We don't want to think about it on our days off, we just want to chill.
"We have had a busy few days. Everyone is looking forward to the game when it comes but at the same time everyone is looking forward to a little relax now."
