Midfielder waiting to find out Sunderland's demands

Jack Colback will not rush into a decision over his future as he looks to secure a permanent move away from Sunderland. The midfielder is currently on loan at Ipswich Town and has a further fortnight to run on his deal at Portman Road. Ipswich boss Roy Keane wants to keep the 21-year-old and Colback is not ruling out the possibility of sticking with the Carling Cup semi-finalists. However, Colback is waiting to see what Sunderland would demand for his departure from the Stadium of Light and will take his time before making a decision.

Confidence

"Ideally I'd like a permanent move somewhere so that I can take stock and get settled," Colback told the Ipswich Evening Star. "But you can't tell and there might be complications about moving to Ipswich. Sunderland might want something that Ipswich can't provide - we'll have to wait and see. "Anything can happen in football and time will tell. I spoke to the gaffer here last week about a permanent move and he said he would like me to stay. "That was a positive for me and gave me a lot of confidence. He wants me to stay and it's up to me and I'm not rushing still with two weeks left of my loan deal. I'm taking things slowly."
