Stephane Sessegnon is still hoping to secure a move away from Paris St Germain and end a troubled period in his career.
The Benin international is currently training away from the first-team squad after suffering a falling out with coach Antoine Kombouare.
With relations between player and manager having reached breaking point, it is widely assumed that the 26-year-old will soon be on his way.
Sessegnon hopes that proves to be the case, with the reported Aston Villa and Everton target keen to make a fresh start elsewhere.
"I am looking forward to my new life," he told skysports.com.
"I am not happy with things here. The fans are fantastic but, to be honest, I think it would be better for everyone if I left."
Unfortunately for Sessegnon, Kombouare is yet to open the door for a sale, with the PSG boss still under the impression that any issues can be ironed out.
"On a sporting level we still need him," he said.
"We have a small group and I can't imagine that Stephane will be allowed to leave that.
"He has endured a tough time but I am sure that if he returns with a better attitude we can achieve good results. I have always completely supported him.
"Once the transfer window closes, we can all get back to work."
