Dundee United boss Peter Houston says the club are yet to receive an offer for striker David Goodwillie, despite reported interest from Rangers and Blackpool.
The 21-year-old, who won his first Scotland cap against the Faroe Islands in November, came through the youth ranks at United and is contracted until next summer.
He will be available for United's Scottish Premier League clash against Motherwell on Wednesday night having served a suspension during Saturday's Scottish Cup encounter with Ross County.
And Houston insists club chairman Stephen Thompson has not been contacted about the youngster, who has scored 11 goals this season.
He said: "The chairman has been keeping me well informed if anything's happening and nothing's happening."
Houston is expecting a quiet transfer window at Tannadice as he is without the funds to bolster his line-up.
The United boss will only bring in new recruits should players depart, and he insists he would rather keep his squad together.
"If somebody goes, I know a couple of people I'd like to get in, but I'll not get anybody in unless we get people out," he added.
"As yet, there's nobody out and hopefully it stays that way.
"If we keep the same squad between now and the end of the season and get some of the ones fit who are first-team players, then I'll be more than happy."
