Cotterill wants to bring in another loan signing before Forest trip

Portsmouth boss Steve Cotterill has confirmed Wolves utility man Greg Halford has extended his loan at Fratton Park until the end of the season. Halford has impressed during the past three months with Pompey and has scored four goals in 12 Championship appearances. He will now see out the campaign on the South Coast, although the 26-year-old will miss Saturday's game at Nottingham Forest through suspension. "We have signed Greg until the end of the season, which is great news," Cotterill told The News.

Flexible

"He's done well for us, is flexible and has scored some goals. We are pleased to have him back. "Obviously I was disappointed with him getting sent off against Watford. I thought it was very poor of him, he knows my feelings as regards to that. "But we're delighted to have him back. It's a bit of a boost for us." Meanwhile, Cotterill is hoping he can finalise another loan signing before Portsmouth tackle Forest at the City Ground. He added: "Hopefully we can have somebody else in by the weekend. We need more players and I'm hoping that can come off."
