Reading have completed the double signing of Swindon Town defender Sean Morrison and non-league striker Brett Williams.
Skysports.com revealed last week that Reading had lined up a deal for Morrison and have now secured the centre-half for an undisclosed fee.
Morrison has signed a contract until 2014 at the Madejski Stadium and is looking forward to testing himself in the Championship.
"This is a great opportunity and I'm really looking forward to getting started," Morrison told the club's official website.
"It's nice for the speculation to turn into reality and I'm pleased to be here. It's a great club with great supporters and I'm excited to join.
"I think the manager wants to work with me, make me an all-round better player and push on from there. It just felt like I needed a new challenge, the chance to play at a higher level."
Dream come true
Williams, meanwhile, has signed an 18-month deal to join from Eastleigh after impressing while training with Brian McDermott's squad last week.
The 23-year-old said: "It's a dream come true. I'm looking forward to the challenge and can't wait to get started.
"From day one all the lads have been great, making me feel right at home. Everything about the place just drew me to the club.
"When I first got the call to join training I couldn't believe it at first, but I thought this is my opportunity, give it my best shot and it paid off, I'm so glad to be signing."
