Paris St Germain are determined to keep Stephane Sessegnon and have urged the midfielder to rejoin the group.
Reports in France have suggested that Sessegnon is refusing to train with PSG in a bid to manufacture a move away from the club.
The 26-year-old has fallen out with manager Antoine Kombouare and says it is 'impossible' for him to stay at Parc des Princes.
A switch to the Premier League would be his preferred option and Sunderland are still believed to be interested in securing his services.
However, PSG president Robin Leproux maintains that he will not be going anywhere during the current transfer window.
Part of the family
"The most important thing is that Stephane returns to the group again," said Leproux.
"He's part of the family and we want him to stay.
"We can't afford to play Ludovic Giuly in his position for the full 90 minutes like against Sochaux.
"We're not thinking about a possible departure of Stephane.
"We're confident that he will still be with us on January 31."
