Sunderland target Stephane Sessegnon has returned to training with Paris Saint Germain after being on strike for the whole of this month.
The Benin international had a falling out with coach Antoine Kombouare and immediately demanded a move.
Sunderland have since made a move to take him on loan and then they also made a permanent bid worth around £4million.
However, PSG have remained firm in insisting they do not want Sessegnon to leave and their stance does not appear to be altering.
Now after incurring more than £100,000 in fines he has opted to come back into the fold, although he still wants to move.
Kombouare has tried to make peace with the influential playmaker and he was delighted to have him back involved.
"This is great news," he said.
"I'm super happy because he is back, I do not know what will happen but in any case, he is there and he trains
"I saw him for five minutes to tell him I was happy and tell him about the contents of the session.
"I did not ask, [about his future]. For me he is here to resume training and then see where he is physically.
"I do not want to hear about the transfer window. What interests me is the training ground. Stephane is back, I like it and it works. Nobody leaves."
Sunderland boss Steve Bruce confirmed on Thursday that the club were still pursuing Sessegnon and that is likely to continue.
