Swansea have snapped up Ryan Harley on a free transfer from Exeter, although the midfielder will stay with the Grecians on loan until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old, who has scored eight goals for Exeter this campaign, has joined the Championship club on a three-and-a-half-year contract.
Playmaker Harley, who arrived at St James Park in 2007, was due to be out of contract at the League One outfit in the summer and was linked with moves to Brighton, Derby and Cardiff before completing the Swans deal.
He told the club's official website: "It's been a tough couple of weeks with all the speculation.
"There were a lot of teams interested in me, which was nice, but I'm delighted to sign for the Swans.
"I just felt that Swansea was the right club for me.
"I've got a job to finish at Exeter and then I can't wait to get started with Swansea next season."
Harley, who has scored 22 goals in 118 appearances for the Grecians, started his senior career at Bristol City back in 2003.
He marks Swans boss Brendan Rodgers' second midfield signing in the space of 24 hours after Leon Britton also completed his return from Sheffield United on Thursday.
