American keeper to stay another month till end of February

Hull City have agreed to extend Brad Guzan's loan from Aston Villa by another month. The American keeper joined initially on a month-long deal on New Year's Eve and has impressed manager Nigel Pearson during four league games for the Tigers. Guzan's current deal was due to expire after Saturday's home game against Championship leaders QPR but Hull have managed to secure the 26-year-old's services until the end of February. "Brad's done very well since he arrived," head of football operations, Adam Pearson, told the Hull Daily Mail. "He's a very solid, dependable, likeable guy and we're happy to see him stay."

Mannone cover

Hull needed goalkeeping cover after fellow loanee Vito Mannone suffered a thigh injury last month, which saw the 22-year-old return to parent club Arsenal for treatment. But the Italian keeper is now back with Hull after agreeing a new deal until the end of the season and is a fortnight away from coming back into contention.
