New Blackpool signing James Beattie admits he cannot wait to start playing with want-away star Charlie Adam.
Beattie joined the Seasiders for the rest of the season on deadline day after a spell at Rangers in the SPL.
Blackpool captain Adam, who saw his transfer request rejected, nearly left Bloomfield Road on Monday after Tottenham Hotspur came within minutes of landing the 25-year-old midfielder.
But former Stoke City striker Beattie is glad the Scotland international has remained with the Tangerines and is keen to strike up a partnership with the club's talisman.
Beattie told Sky Sports News HD: "Everybody knows Charlie is a massive part of this team and there was a situation there that needed to be handled and the outcome is that Charlie is still our player.
"I'm delighted with that and I'm sure the Blackpool fans will be. I'm sure Charlie will get what he wants in the summer but he's big enough and man enough to get his head right to do what we need to do now and I'm sure he will do that."
Beattie revealed Blackpool manager Ian Holloway played a significant role in bringing him back to the Premier League.
The 32-year-old added: "When I heard of Blackpool's interest I knew the manager was a lively character and I've seen some of his interviews on the television.
"When you sit down with the gaffer you realise he's a very passionate man and he knows what he wants from his team and he told me what he wants from me in that team and I was happy with that and he's delighted to help me come to the club."
