Marc-Antoine Fortune was pleased to shelve his own frustrations and boost West Brom's Premier League survival bid with a crucial goal against Wigan.
The Baggies were trailing 2-1 to fellow relegation candidates the Latics at the Hawthorns on Tuesday night before French striker Fortune came off the bench to rescue a vital point with a 79th-minute equaliser.
Promoted Albion now sit 16th in the table and three points clear of the drop zone as they push to stay in the top-flight this term.
Former Celtic man Fortune has found first-team action restricted at West Brom this season, making just one Premier League start in almost three months.
But the 29-year-old was happy to put his own discontent aside to ensure the Baggies did not go home empty-handed.
Frustrated
Fortune told the club's
official website: "Of course I have been frustrated because I want to be part of the team and play a part in helping us stay up.
"When you don't play it's always difficult but things have been difficult for me since the start of my career, so I am used to it and my confidence is still there.
"Most importantly the goal was for the team because we needed to draw at least.
"We couldn't lose because it was a really important game."
Fortune has called for more strength from his team-mates as Albion head into what could prove a gritty relegation battle.
He added: "We are disappointed because we always want to win our home games but we have to keep going.
"The confidence is still there because we play good football, we just have to be stronger and keep clean sheets."
