Davide Somma is happy biding his time for a return to Leeds' starting XI following yet another goal off the bench.
The South Africa international has been in superb form after notching his 11th Championship goal of the season on Saturday in Leeds' 2-2 draw with Norwich.
Somma was introduced late on against the Canaries and scored with a sublime volley with his first touch to rescue a point.
The 25-year-old has proved a key player for manager Simon Grayson following a fruitful loan spell with Lincoln City last term.
However, despite his excellent goalscoring exploits of late, he has no plans to hold showdown talks with Grayson in order to feature from the off.
"I'd rather be a super starter than a super sub, but I'll take another goal, especially as it's the best I've scored all season," he said.
"You've got to respect the manager's decision. I'm here to help the team and whenever he calls I'm ready.
"I've not been beating down his door. Getting upset about it isn't going to help.
"Scoring goals keeps me going, I've just got to be patient and wait for my chances.
"I want to start but I'm just happy scoring goals, whether it's from the start or off the bench."
Grayson is delighted with the striker's attitude, commenting: "Davide's got a fantastic attitude. He understands when I leave him out."
