Newcastle manager Alan Pardew admits he will have to be patient with Leon Best and Peter Lovenkrands but believes they will continue to be a threat up front.
The Magpies have coped well in attack since the departure of star striker Andy Carroll in January and both Best and Lovenkrands were on target in the 2-0 victory at Birmingham last time out.
Next up for Newcastle is a home clash with Bolton in the Premier League as the Toon Army look to stay in the top half of the table.
Best, 24, and Lovenkrands, 31, have hit eight goals between them so far this season and are expected to continue up front against the Trotters, although Shola Ameobi could also be available.
Pardew praised the striking duo and says they are doing a good job for the club in difficult times.
"Their work-rate has been phenomenal and, as a manager, that's all you can ask for," he said.
"In some games, there hasn't been too much created for them.
"But if they keep doing what they're doing, the moments will happen in front of goal.
"Just look at the West Ham game when we won 5-0 and they benefited from some great service.
"They have to stay strong and, as a manager, I have to be patient."
Newcastle have managed 35 points from 27 games so far this term and will be looking to assure their top-flight survival in upcoming matches.
