Johan Djourou has urged his Arsenal team-mates to show their character and bounce back from losing the Carling Cup final.
Obafemi Martins scored in the 89th minute to secure a shock 2-1 victory for Birmingham at Wembley on Sunday and leave the Gunners still waiting for a first trophy since 2005.
However, Djourou does not believe Arsenal should dwell on the disappointment otherwise it could affect their chances of silverware elsewhere.
Arsene Wenger's men are still in the FA Cup, while they beat Barcelona 2-1 in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 tie and are just four points behind Manchester United in the Premier League title race.
Djourou hopes Arsenal can recover quickly from their Wembley heartache to ensure supporters do not have to wait much longer for a trophy.
"We just could not get that second goal to win us the Carling Cup today, but we have other things coming up," said the Switzerland international.
"We are still in the FA Cup, there is still the league and the Champions League, so we need to bounce back.
"We are aiming to get back to Wembley in the FA Cup & also the Champions League.
"The club needs to show character now and we have the resources to do it."
Martins' winning goal came after a calamitous mix-up between Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny and defender Laurent Koscielny, but Djourou feels they can both bounce back.
"Things like that happen in football," he said.
"It is just a shame it happened so near the end - but also mistakes make you stronger."
