Birmingham's Carling Cup heroes have now set their sights on securing safety in the Premier League.
Alex McLeish's team lifted the League Cup at Wembley on Sunday after a late 2-1 win over Arsenal earned a first piece of silverware since 1963.
Attention now switches to Birmingham's battle against relegation, as just two points separate the St Andrews club from the drop zone, although they do have two games in hand.
Saturday lunchtime sees McLeish's side host relegation and Midlands rivals West Brom and defender Roger Johnson is in a confident frame of mind.
The centre-back told
Sky Sports News: "I think we are three wins away from staying up. We have got 12 games to go and I fancy ourselves to win three out of them and a few more.
"(We) concentrate on the league now. What a season - win the cup and stay up."
Big game
Johnson's defensive partner, Liam Ridgewell, is also aware that top-flight security is a priority.
"The main thing now is the league," said Ridgewell. "We have got to get that into shape and make sure we are safe.
"We have got a big game coming up on Saturday."
Republic of Ireland international Keith Fahey thinks that the Carling Cup final success could prove the perfect catalyst in Birmingham's season.
He said: "You can see the form everyone is in, everyone is delighted. That can only spur us on. If you can't kick on from that, you can't kick on from anything."
Veteran Birmingham striker Kevin Phillips has also been boosted by
Opta statistics which indicate that over the past 10 years no League Cup winner has suffered a decrease in points.
Phillips said: "I heard a statistic that the majority of teams go on and stay safe in the Premier League after they've had success in the League Cup final.
"Hopefully we will be one of those teams."
