Winger relishing Old Firm showdown

Kris Commons admits Wednesday's Old Firm clash offers Celtic the ideal chance to get over their defeat to Motherwell. Celtic saw their 17-match unbeaten run come to an end on Sunday after going down to a shock 2-0 defeat at Fir Park. The defeat, coupled with Rangers' win over St Johnstone, saw Celtic's lead at the top of the table cut to five points with the table-toppers having played two games more. Celtic meet Rangers in their Scottish Cup fifth-round replay on Wednesday and Commons is looking forward to it. "We have to get this out of our system quickly and it's an ideal game for us to go into," said Commons. "In football when you have a defeat that's hard to take the best thing to do is play as soon as possible and we have the chance to play against our rivals on Wednesday night. "So we will be fired up for that. The Motherwell defeat was a blow. Obviously the unbeaten run goes out the window so it's important that we get back to winning ways."
