Experienced winger keen to remain with capital giants

Ludovic Giuly claims he would be happy to prolong his association with Paris St Germain.

The experienced winger returned to his French roots in 2008, following spells at Barcelona and Roma.

He is now 34 years of age and will see his current contract at PSG expire in the summer.

The Ligue 1 giants have already expressed a desire to retain the former France international's services, though, with fresh terms reportedly being readied.

Having forced his way back into the side over recent weeks, Giuly admits he would be delighted to pen an extension - even if it meant taking a salary cut.

He told France Football: "I can't see myself retiring at the end of the season.

Pleasure

"If PSG want me to stay here, I would sign with pleasure. We will have to talk because there has been no proposal so far.

"My ambition is to go on playing for PSG because I am convinced I can still do well for the club.

"If a financial cut has to be taken, I will discuss that with my agent. Considering my age, that is likely.

"But if I sign it will not be about money. I could have left last summer for many far away destinations where the football was inferior: Qatar or the USA.

"I believe I still have the legs for Ligue 1 and I would like to play in the Champions League with PSG.

"I don't know if I will be a PSG player next season, but I will continue to do my best."
