Stoke boss Tony Pulis insists he is eager to retain the services of goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen.
The Denmark international started the season as Pulis' first-choice keeper, playing the first nine Premier League games.
But the 34-year-old lost his place in October to Asmir Begovic, who has remained between the sticks for the Potters.
With Sorensen's contract set to expire at the end of next season, his agent has approached the club concerning the former Sunderland and Aston Villa player's future.
And despite giving Begovic the nod in recent months, Pulis has stressed he would like to keep Sorensen at the Britannia Stadium.
"We would love Thomas to sign a new deal," he said.
"His agent has been on so we would love to get that done if we can."

Pulis also has 37-year-old Carlo Nash as cover and the Stoke boss is pleased with the keepers at his disposal.
"I think our three are as good as any in the league," he said.
"Are they part of our future next season? I would be disappointed if they are not."
Begovic made three starts for the Potters at the end of last season after making a £3.25million move from Portsmouth during the mid-season transfer window.
The 23-year-old Bosnia-Herzegovina international has racked up 19 Premier League starts this term and made a crucial late save to secure a 1-1 draw at home to West Brom on Monday.
"The kid is an exceptional goalkeeper, Pulis added.
"He has all the talent you would want. But he is young, inexperienced and he is going to make mistakes like he did at Birmingham.
"We have to take that on the chin, be careful with him and give him as much backing when he needs it, and as much support as he can get."
Begovic is set to remain in goal for Saturday's trip to West Ham.
