Owen Coyle expects Bolton Wanderers striker Johan Elmander to wait until the end of the season before making a decision on his future.
Elmander's contract at the Reebok Stadium expires in the summer and the Sweden international has yet to agree to an extension.
Trotters chairman Phil Gartside will reportedly hold further talks with the forward's agent in the coming weeks in the hope of keeping Elmander at the club.
Bolton boss Coyle understands why Elmander is in no rush to reach a decision, but will be delighted if he decides to stay
"I think Johan will look and see what is on offer come the end of the season," said Coyle in the Bolton News. "I don't have a problem with that.
"He knows he has a manager who wants to keep him. But I am understanding there will be offers out for Johan.
"He came as a record signing and you can imagine the contract that comes with that as well.
"If he decides to stay I will be thrilled to bits. And if he doesn't I will wish him well because he has been terrific for me. All I ask is that whoever plays gives their very best."
