Nicky Maynard is back on the radar of a host of Premier League clubs, skysports.com understands.
The 24-year-old has just returned to action following a knee injury which sidelined him in the summer.
Maynard was being followed by a number of teams after finishing among the Championship's top-scorers, but a possible move to Fulham was curtailed by his injury.
Now Maynard is back to full fitness and is already showing he is one of the best strikers outside the Premier League with two goals from his only two starts.
And skysports.com understands that a host of clubs are already monitoring his situation and making close checks on him.
Aston Villa, Blackburn, Bolton, Newcastle and SPL giants Celtic are all believed to be keeping tabs on him.
Maynard has just over a year left on his current contract at Bristol City, who he joined from Crewe in 2008 for a club record £2.25million.
