Interest mounts in Coventry striker

A number of clubs are tracking Coventry City striker Marlon King, skysports.com understands. King joined the Sky Blues in the summer when Aidy Boothroyd won the battle to sign his former Watford striker on a free transfer. King returned to action following a prison sentence, but he has found few problems in recapturing his form and is their top scorer so far this season. The 30-year-old is out of contract this summer and there are no shortage of clubs checking on him. Stoke City are believed to be leading the chase ahead of a number of Premier League and Championship clubs, but there is also interest from abroad with Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray keen. King's agent Tony Finnigan confirmed interest in his charge, telling skysports.com: "He is out of contract in the summer, that is no secret. "The ball is in Coventry's court at the moment, but we are fielding a number of enquiries. "Marlon has shown his quality this season and proven he can still score goals at a top level."
