Argentinian wants to stay at Camp Nou and scotches Chelsea talk

Barcelona midfielder Javier Mascherano has ruled out a return to the Premier League with Chelsea. The Blues have been linked to the Argentinian ace after his failure to set the Camp Nou alight since his £18million move from Liverpool last August. But the 26-year-old has scotched the transfer talk, insisting he is learning in Barcelona's squad and he does not want to leave Spain this summer. He told The People: "I have heard the rumours, but I am calm about my situation. "I have spoken to nobody because I see my present and my future at Barca, and I don't want to leave this summer. "It is a privilege to play some minutes in this super-squad and my mission now is to be patient, to learn and to perform at my best when opportunities come." Barca coach Pep Guardiola has confirmed he does not want Mascherano to leave, saying: "We have been very satisfied with Javier."
