Gareth Bale, Craig Bellamy and Aaron Ramsey have returned to the Wales squad for the Euro 2012 qualifier against England next week.
The star trio have all returned to full fitness in time to be in contention for Gary Speed's first competitive match as Wales manager.
Speed has named a 25-man squad for the game a week on Saturday, when a sell-out crowd of 74,500 crowd is expected at the Millennium Stadium.
Bale and Bellamy both missed last month's Carling Nations Cup defeat by the Republic of Ireland in Dublin.
Arsenal youngster Ramsey has been on loan at Cardiff and could make his first international appearance since November 2009 having recovered from the horrific broken leg he suffered last year.
West Ham defender Danny Gabbidon is included after coming out of international retirement under Speed while Nottingham Forest striker Robert Earnshaw is in the squad despite being ruled out of club action due to a hamstring injury.
Speed is also set to name a new captain with Bellamy, 31, having ruled himself out of the reckoning.
James Collins and fellow defender Ashley Williams are thought to be the leading contenders as both have led the national side before.
Speed confirmed he has decided who the new skipper will be but is yet to inform his players.
"When we get together next week they'll know about it and then we'll tell everybody," he said.
"It is important, not just for now, but for the long term, to choose somebody who is hopefully going to be with us for a while and has all the attributes to be a captain on and off the pitch.
"Craig won't be captain, from his own choice. The history of his injuries means he won't be able to commit to every game. It's his idea that it should go to somebody else."
Wales are bottom of Group G after losing their first three qualifiers.
