Blackpool captain Charlie Adam is eager to get back in action and boost the Seasiders' survival bid.
Pool's talisman will return for the trip to Blackburn on Saturday having had to sit out the last two games after being shown 10 yellow cards this season.
Only goal difference separates the Lancashire rivals in the Premier League table and they are just one point above the drop zone.
But Adam is raring to go at Ewood Park having kept himself fit during his enforced absence.
"I've trained since I've been suspended and it's been a frustrating time," he told the club's
official website.
"I've not helped myself by getting a two-game suspension so it will be nice to get back out on the pitch.
"We're neck and neck at the moment but it's difficult when you're lower down because every point becomes vital," added the Scotland international.
"We need to go there and try to play as we can to hopefully get the right result."
Besides Blackpool, Newcastle are the only other Premier League team to have won more away games than home this season.
But the Tangerines have lost their last four league games on the road so Adam is keen to become happy travellers again heading into the run-in.
Local derby
"It's a local derby, there's three points to play for but we know we're not going to get relegated if we lose this game," he said.
"Our best performances have been away from home this year and it'll be nice to get back on the road and hopefully turn in the performances that are due."
Brett Emerton's last-minute winner gave Blackburn a 2-1 victory in the reverse fixture in September.
But Adam had given Rovers a first-half lead at Bloomfield Road, blotting his copybook by turning the ball past Pool keeper Matt Gilks.
"The own goal comes into my mind but that's just one of those things that happen," Adam added.
"I tried to play it back to Gilo but it was too much because of the water on the pitch so I should have cleared it.
"I've learned from that and it will be a different game at their place that we want to try to win."
