Arsenal star Andrey Arshavin wants to exorcise his demons by winning the Premier League title.
But the Russian star reckons rivals Manchester United are the clear favourites.
Arshavin, 29, says his emotional state has taken a battering after a nightmare fortnight saw Arsenal throw away the Carling Cup final before crashing out of the UEFA Champions League and FA Cup.
He insists the Gunners' season will be a failure if they cannot overhaul current leaders United and lift their first title for seven years.
And the forward has also refused to rule Chelsea out of the hunt for silverware.
Asked which team was likely to be crowned champions, he said: "Manchester United in terms of stability, but also the football by Chelsea looks very dangerous - especially after they bought two strong players.
"Manchester United but all others who chase them won't them break away too far. Including us.
"We're in a close chase for the title with Manchester United and still have chances to finish first in the Premier League.
"If we fail to do that I would consider this season completely lost.
"Physically I feel well but I can't say the same about my emotional state.
"No footballer likes to lose and I'm no exception."
