Scotland midfielder James Morrison says he has ignored doctor's orders so he can face Brazil in Sunday's international friendly.
The West Brom man was told to withdraw from the Scotland squad by the Baggies' club medic after sustaining a three-inch gash to his head, which required 10 stitches, against Arsenal on Saturday.
But 24-year-old Morrison has refused to forfeit his dream of taking on the Samba stars and insists he will be available to play at the Gunners' Emirates Stadium in London this weekend.
"The doctor tried to stop me going but I said nothing is going to stop me having the chance to play against Brazil," Morrison said in the Daily Record.
"I'm really looking forward to this game. You don't often get the chance to play Brazil and test yourself.
"It's the kind of match you dreamed about playing as a kid."
Morrison experienced a taste of taking on the world's elite when Scotland faced world champions Spain in Euro 2012 qualifying at Hampden Park back in October.
He added: "Taking on Spain was a great one which will stay with me forever and I'm sure this will be the same."
