Stephen Hunt is confident he can return from injury to play a crucial role in Wolves' fight for Premier League survival.
The 29-year-old has been sidelined with a calf strain which he picked up in the FA Cup against Stoke in January.
It was initially thought he would only be out for a few weeks, but a closer examination of the injury revealed it was slightly more serious.
In typical Hunt fashion, he has battled back from the injury and is using this latest international break to regain full fitness and is scheduled to play against Blackpool reserves next Wednesday.
Hunt was last in the Premier League with Hull but injury that season ruled him out for the crunch part of the campaign and he was unable to help them avoid the drop.
This is something he hopes to put right with Wolves, telling the Express and Star: "We didn't realise how serious it was until the third or fourth week when we discovered it was a grade two tear.
"But I'm back training and fit now so it's up to the gaffer as to when I'm involved.
"I feel as fresh as a daisy now and looking forward to being back.
"If I do get back for the last eight games then I'll be hoping to make a good contribution and maybe even get a few goals.
"I couldn't play in the last 15 or so games for Hull last season when they were relegated which is why I'm so keen to get back for Wolves."
