Skysports.com understands Brighton's goal machine Glenn Murray is being tracked by Championship sides Derby and Millwall with a view to a summer deal.
The 27-year-old's present contract with the Seagulls is due to expire at the end of the season, and contract talks with the League One club have stalled after he rejected a new deal earlier this year.
Murray, though, underlined his reputation as a goalscorer of some repute as he notched his 20th league goal of an excellent season as Brighton beat Dagenham & Redbridge 1-0 on Tuesday.
Seagulls boss Gus Poyet has masterminded their promotion charge and they now sit at the summit of the league - 13 points clear of their nearest rivals in second place.
The former Chelsea midfielder is aware that Murray has been one of the key tenets of his attacking philosophy that has brought his team so much success this year.
Brighton will be desperate to retain his services but face real competition from Derby and Millwall.
Both teams are in the market for a natural goalscorer, such as the former Rochdale striker, and believe he has the ability to perform at a higher level.
Should Murray run down his contract with the Seagulls, he will be able to sign on a free transfer for any of his prospective suitors.
