Aston Villa keeper Brad Friedel insists Gerard Houllier's squad are all pulling in the same direction as the club seek to retain their Premier League status.
The club find themselves entrenched in a battle to stay in England's top flight as they are currently just one point clear of the bottom three with eight games remaining.
Villa take on Everton at Goodison Park this weekend and the veteran Friedel insists there is enough quality in the squad to haul themselves away from the drop zone.
Friedel is not looking into the reasons why things have not gone according to plan this term and says it is imperative they stay up before conducting a review into their failings over the summer.
"We've got eight cup finals," he told Sky Sports News.
"We've got enough quality in the changing room and we're confident to get the points on the board to stay in the Premier League.
"It's a shame we're in the position we're in. I can assure the fans that we're all pulling together as one. We're going to be taking these games incredibly seriously.
"We're determined to get enough points on the board to ensure our Premier League safety.
"In the summer we can have a look at the things that went right and wrong and we'll try and correct them next season.
"We're going to do nothing more than fight for Premier League survival."
Friedel and co will be concentrating on securing the points at Goodison Park on Saturday and the American admits it will be difficult trying to avoid checking on results from crucial games elsewhere.
"You try and concentrate on your own results, but it's impossible not to look at the other teams' results," he continued.
"It's much easier to look at other teams' results when you've got three points under your belt.
"On Saturday we've got a difficult game at Goodison, but we're going to try and get the three points."
