Papac confident striker can hit 20

Sasa Papac believes striker Nikica Jelavic can fire Rangers to a third successive Scottish Premier League title. The Croatia international fired the Ibrox outfit to glory in their Co-operative Insurance Cup final against Celtic with an extra-time winner against the Bhoys. Jelavic has been restricted to just 13 starts this term because of injury but has still found the net 11 times and Papac believes he can bring his tally up to 20 in the closing weeks of the season. Walter Smith's side currently trail Celtic by two points in the SPL title race, but have the benefit of a game in hand over their fierce Glasgow rivals.

Excellent

Bosnia defender Papac told the Daily Record: "Nikica is a great player. It has been a tough season for him but he works hard in training and always wants to play. "He is also hungry to score goals and every team needs that. In the League Cup Final he showed he can provide something different and his goal was excellent. "He said it was the best moment of his career and I know how much it meant to him to score against Celtic in a big final. "I hope he stays fit and if he does he can get more than 20 goals because he can get better and better."
