Manchester City defender Kolo Toure has told supporters that he hopes to be back soon after being suspended for failing a drugs test.
Toure has not played since the Football Association confirmed earlier this month that an A sample from the Ivory Coast international had tested positive for a banned substance.
He is currently awaiting the results of the B sample but has been strongly defended by a number of team-mates and former colleagues.
Arsene Wenger, who managed Toure at Arsenal, claimed the failed test was due to mistakenly taking a diet pill belonging to the player's wife.
Toure has now broken his silence after making a surprise appearance at the Soccerex business forum in Manchester.
Asked if he knew when he would hear the results of the B sample, he replied: "No comment."
Asked if he had a message for City fans, he added: "I will be back soon - I hope so."
