Sylvain Distin feels it is time for Everton to reflect on what they have achieved this season.
The Toffees have spent the campaign battling to climb up the Premier League table after a wretched start, which saw them sitting rock-bottom after failing to win in their opening six games.
Despite dragging themselves out of the drop zone, Everton were still as low as 14th at the start of February, but a run of just one defeat in their last seven league games has finally taken them into the top half.
Distin reckons David Moyes' men should now look back on an arduous season with pride as having reached seventh place, he feels they could even be overachieving.
"We've moved up every game," said the French defender, who helped Everton to a 2-2 draw at home to Aston Villa on Saturday.

"It's strange because I think the fans, and us as players, are frustrated. But when you look at where we are now, at the teams around us and what they've spent and the size of their squads, I think we should be prouder.
"Look at our bench compared to Villa's. We had young players, several teenagers and none of them with Premier League experience. They had Robert Pires, Emile Heskey, Stiliyan Petrov and people like that.
"I can understand the frustration from the fans and the players are the same, but you have to look at the big picture and be proud of what we're doing.
"We didn't spend much last summer and again in January."
