Harry Redknapp admitted he thoroughly enjoyed Tottenham's display after they won a five-goal thriller against plucky Stoke.
Peter Crouch put his Real Madrid misery behind him as he scored twice to help Spurs to their first Premier League win in almost two months in a 3-2 victory at White Hart Lane.
Luka Modric had put Tottenham 2-0 up but Matthew Etherington and Kenwyne Jones sandwiched Crouch's second to make hosts sweat over their win with two sublime efforts.
Redknapp told Sky Sports: "I just enjoyed watching the way we played that first half so much. The football was absolutely fantastic. It was a pleasure.
"They never give up Stoke. They put you under pressure and we had to hang on at times.
"I was delighted how we played, especially in that first half."
Redknapp admitted he had no problems lifting his side after the midweek defeat against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.
"We had a setback at Real Madrid, but they could have beaten anybody 4-0 when you're down to 10-men," he continued.
"We've still got a game to come here on Wednesday and who knows what can happen. We'll give it our best shot for sure.
"We have to come back now and go on a run in the league if we can and just do our best to try and get into that top four.
"If we finish in the top four it will be a fantastic achievement by the players."
The Spurs boss also praised the performance of striker Crouch after he made amends following his sending off at the Bernabeu.
"I thought the fans were great. I have got to give credit to the supporters of this club. They came out and gave him a great reception and got right behind the team and created a fantastic atmosphere. The fans made the difference."
Redknapp added his side have a chance of causing a major shock on Wednesday by overturning a four-goal deficit against the Spanish giants.
"You've always got a chance. We need to get an early goal if we can. It's a great game to look forward to - a dream game in the last eight of the Champions League. Let's go and give it a real go."
