Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has been cleared to play in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid.
Iniesta was facing a one-match ban after Uefa match officials alleged he had incurred a deliberate yellow card in the previous round against Shakhtar Donetsk.
Iniesta was cautioned during the 5-1 first-leg win over Shakhtar, ensuring the Spain international could sit out the return victory in the Ukraine.
Primera Liga leaders Barcelona appealed against the proposed suspension and Uefa has ruled in favour of the 2009 European champions.
"Andres Iniesta will be able to play in the away match of the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabeu," read a Barcelona statement.
"Uefa has dismissed a possible sanction against the midfielder after FC Barcelona appealed the European organisation's proposal to sanction him for an extra game for the yellow card received during the match against Shakhtar on April 6.
"With the decision, Uefa also ruled out any kind of financial penalty."
The decision means Iniesta can line up in next Wednesday's first leg in Madrid, with the return scheduled for Camp Nou a week later.
