Salomon Kalou admits he is living the dream playing for Chelsea as they push for a second successive Premier League title.
After shrugging off their mid-season slump, the Blues will take pole position for the first time since November on Sunday if they overcome Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Kalou, who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Dutch club Feyenoord in 2006, has played a key role in Chelsea's recent revival, finding the back of the net three times in their last four league encounters.
The 25-year-old, who has scored 10 league goals in total for the Blues this term, is likely to take a back seat to Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres for this weekend's United showdown.
But despite playing second fiddle to the more experienced attacking duo, Kalou insists he is loving life with the reigning champions.
The striker, who began his career with Ivorian minnows ASEC Mimosas, told The Sun: "I always dreamed of being a footballer.
"I get to be part of something millions of people aspire to be part of.
"I travel the world, play in packed stadiums and the money is good too!
"I really do appreciate my life, especially when I think back to all the hard times growing up to get here. That keeps me humble."
